Abstract
The brochure contains the processed data of 1,528
individual and 392 corporate farms. The selected sample
farms are representing the Hungarian commodity
producer agricultural holdings according to farm type,
economic size and legal form.
Profi tability of the agricultural sector after the
decline in 2009 has increased again reaching the record
level of 2008 in real terms.
Revenues per one hectare rose by 8 per cent while
the costs increased only by 1 per cent, thus increasing
subsidies have also signifi cantly contributed to
the growing profi ts. As a result, the net value added
was 31 per cent higher than the previous year’s fi gure.
While profi ts in the case of individual farms increased
by 74 per cent, in the case of corporate farms the rate
of growth was 71 per cent of the previous year’s value.
